This auction is for my own 1996 Paul Reed Smith PRS CE22 CE-22 made in the USA, with it's hard case. This guitar was a special order Dark Translucent Red - Very Rare Color. You can see the beautiful wood-grain through the Translucent paint (Front, sides and back of the Guitar are painted the same translucent Red - this was a special order from PRS - very nice - very rare. Most CE22's have a main color front and a black back ). I have to say that this guitar is as close to mint as you are going to get - Straight neck, plays low and fast, no chips, no scratches, no buckle marks..... Cleanest CE22 on E-Bay.
Notice that even the plastic covers on the back of the Guitar have no marks on them!!!!! (see photos)
Reason this guitar is in such great day one condition is that I bought the guitar from the original owner quite a few years back and he rarely played it and I put the guitar away and have less then 30 minutes playing time on it. I pull the guitar out a couple times a year and make sure the Rosewood neck is oiled I wipe her down.
I have been told that the Hard shell case is the original equipment that came with this CE22, please take a look at the photos for your opinion.
I have finally decided to sell this beauty but will not give it away, reserve is set at a very average PRS CE 22 price. I have my PRS listed on two other web-sites and will cancel this E-Bay auction if sold prior to any bids being posted here.
I have sent photos to Paul Reed Smith and they have verified that the guitar is a 1996.
Weight is under is just under 8 lbs (used old fishing scale & bathroom scale)
I don't know neck type, very close to my 1995 Les Paul Standard
