From my private collection is this 2005 Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Model, Paul Reed Smith Custom 22, near mint condition, with PRS Custom Case. No Reserve.
A Superb Player with Excellent Sustain in Stunning Blue Matteo and 10 Top.
This is a True Limited Edition Anniversary Model, not just a 05’ with a simple “20th” truss rod cover on the headstock. This guitar is a certain collector’s piece and in collector grade condition with special edition anniversary bird inlays. If you have any doubts, try to find or buy a 1995 10th Anniversary for less than $6,000 in any condition. These guitars were specially designed and only produced for a short period of time to commemorate the founding of Paul Reed Smith Guitars in 1985. The Guitar is 100% stock from the factory with a 5 way rotary, well matched Dragon 2 Pick-ups and Rosewood fret board.
Every now and then I’m fortunate to find a PRS guitar that is simply a cut above the rest. This guitar is easily in 9.8 condition. Other than one tiny and virtually invisible blemish on the top, there are no dents, dings, scratches, scrapes or appreciable playwear of any kind. Zero buckle rash on the back. The chrome still shines and there is no fret ware at all. Cleaner than most brand new PRS guitars hanging in the music store.
No other guitar performs like a Custom 22. The Blue Matteo 10 Top finish is simply stunning and the sound is incredible. The action is smooth, low, and extremely responsive, just as you would expect from PRS. This Limited Edition Anniversary Model is light, thin, and comfortable to wear; it offers excellent access to the upper frets and has the controls in all the right places. I love my Santana guitars but the volume control is so far away it might as well be on the back of the instrument. The Dragon II pick-ups are a great match up with the neck carves and stop Tail Bridge, creating maximum sustain. It also has the new style locking tuners with smaller low mass chrome keys and a 20th Anniversary truss rod cover.
