THE GUITAR SECTION....
The Ibanez PGM900, in excellent condition.
This model was produced at the Ibanez
Prestige factory in Japan in 1996, and is the rarest of Paul's signature
guitars to find. This guitar has practically zero nicks, dings,
scratches or blemishes. There is one 1mm mark just on the top of the guitar,
but it is impossible to photograph. The is a 2mm slight indentation at the base of the fingerboard, but again it is impossible to photograph. You have to look hard to see it. Aside from that, it is basically unmarked. This guitar has never been
gigged, and hardly been played.
PGM900: Colour: Transparent Red , Body: Mahogany , Neck: 1-piece Maple , Fretboard: 22-fret Rosewood , Trem: Fixed bridge , Tuners: Gotoh tuners , Hardware: Gold , Pickup Selector: 5-way toggle switch , Control: 1 volume.
THE PICKUP SECTION....
I have removed the original Ibanez Super
58 pickups (I found them to be radiophonic, common with the Super 58's), and installed brand new Paul Reed
Smith HFS and Vintage Bass pickups at neck and bridge. I also use these pickups in my PRS guitars, and they sing better than any other I have ever used. The original pickups will also be
supplied to the winner as I have no use for them.
(Just for those who may wish to use the '58's, I had those pickups dipped in wax (the old 'stop a radiophonic pickup from being radiophonic' trick), and they seem to work ok, but the simply arent anywhere near the same league as the PRS pickups.
