This auction listing is for a 1989 Paul Reed Smith Curly Bass 4. It has a beautiful quilted maple top, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, moon inlays, active electronics and the original case in good condition (except a previous owner stenciled the word "ROCK" on it). I would say this is an 8.5 out of 10. It does have some blemishes which I have tried to illustrate in the photos. It plays great and still looks incredible. These guitars were supplied with three single-coil pickups, one which cancelled "hum". I have only played this guitar in my SMOKE-FREE, humidity controlled home two or three times.
