Paul Reed Smith Guitars

Needing to sell mainly to make room for gear that I actually use. This is a fantastic guitar but I perfer the feel and weight of a Les Paul guitar. So I'm wanting to make room and hopefully make someone a great deal on this awesome USA guitar. She is a player and has just some minor dings on the body from casual playing. This is also including the PRS case with some additional hardware items.. from the mods performed from the previous owner. Also the original hang tags from the store as well. These CE's are no longer made by PRS.. so the collectability of these will only go up in price over the years.

Here is the basic specs::

2002 PRS CE-24 with trem

24 fret neck bolt on
Comfortable wide-thin neck carve
Maple-topped, one-piece mahogany body
HFS Vintage Treble/Bass pickup combination

Its a Gold like metallic green.. has nickel hardware and locking phase tuners.

The guitar has had a mod performed.. the previous owner swapped the 5 way selector for a 3 way toggle. Adding a push/pull knob for the volume to allow a volume option to the bridge pup, to spilt both hums for a single coil tap and for it to run out of phase when using the 3 way selector. The guitar has no tone knob function for the pups.. both knobs are volumes with the exception of the push/pull bridge volume knob. I have the original 5 way selector knob for easy conversion to stock form.

Also included is the original case and tremolo arm.. The case is in pretty good shape.. the lock slider latchs seem to have seen better days.. but function.

The bads about the guitar.. There is 3 different dings on the side of the guitar.. both about 4mm in length.. One is near the neck pocket its a small scratch.. The humbucker poles are a bit rusty from seeing some playing action..The pickup ring mount screws are also a bit rusty.. but easily replaced. The trem also needs a good cleaning.. showing some tarnish from playing action. The neck finish on the 3rd or 4th fret has a blemish.. its actually from some heavy playing in that area. I believe these necks had a thin nitro finish on them. The frets show some signs of use.. but a good fret dress, along with a polish will give this guitar optimal use. I would say the frets have 90% life left in them.
