I bought this guitar used out of the Washington Post  in 1985.  At that time, I was informed the guitar had  been re-done by a man named Paul Reed Smith out of Annapolis, MD.  Although I have no paperwork to authenticate this, the guitar sounds amazing and is wired to the hilt.  There are 3 P-90's all of which have their own on/off switch.  There is a tap/phase switch and a boost type switch as well. The tones that you can get out of this guitar are unreal.  It is the Ibanes "Artist" model and has binding down the neckand around the body  with mother-of-pearl inlays down the neck and in between the binding on the body of the guitar.  It is truly a beautiful guitar in addition to sounding incredible.    The pick-ups alone are worth the price of the guitar, althoughI don't know what year the P-90's are from.  I will try to put more pictures up.  Paul has been known to trade a new guitar for an old sentimental piece that he made in the past.  However, I never attempted to contact him at all  for any reason because I was always so blown away by the tone of the guitar.  I didn't want to trade these old P-90;s for nothin'!  However, time marches on and I am now ready to sell this baby!  Some of Paul's earliest guitars have actually been on display at the Smithsonian Institute here in Washington D.C.   This guitar plays and sounds incredible.  I am not a shop or a dealer, so this guitar is being sold as is.  Includes a hardshell case!
