This "Custom Order 24" features a special Custom inscribed truss-rod cover, a 10-Top Quilted Maple top with transparent Black/Gray over it. Beautiful gold hardware and Artist Package ad on make this a eye catching piece. The feel of the Black Rosewood is best described by Mr. Smith himself- “We’ve found a new rosewood (From East Asia) we call black rosewood that we’re using for the necks and fretboards,” said Paul Smith. “It feels like the most beautiful piece of rosewood you have ever held, because, we’ve also come up with a way of finishing the neck and fingerboard where it goes down into the grain and you actually buff out the wood.” This buffed out finish is achieved using a finishing process developed by PRS and was being debuted by PRS on the Modern Eagle II. It can know be found on many Private Stock guitars, the Modern Eagle II 25th Anniversary and the Modern Eagle III.
By now you can tell when this was custom ordered there was good reason to put emphasis on the stunning neck and fingerboard. It somehow plays as good as it sounds and somehow sounds as good as it looks! You can save BIG due to a small Handling inncodent in photographing that left the back of the guitar with a (est.) 3 inch trail mark where it was dug into upon transporting. It is not a belt mark as it has never been played or plugged in and this is evident through the otherwise flawless, mirror like back. We ordered two, delivered by PRS for 3,688.00, in current condition- Mint, Never Played or Plugged In! Now our first sold for 3,099.00 You will save even more because of a out of normal sight blemish!
