Like the title says: Paul Reed Smith Satin series Singlecut guitar with the following specs/modifications:
-Mahogany Body and neck, maple top.
-Saitn Nitrocellulose finish.
-Vintage style Kluson tuners.
-Fully adjustable stoptail bridge (not the usual fixed-intonation PRS bridge).
-Push/pull pot coil tap on neck volume (lower pot on guitar).
-Abalone birds in flight inlay. Gold "Paul Reed Smith" headstock signature.
-Rosewood Knobs & trussrod cover (original black speed knobs and plate are included).
-Toggle switch changed to amber (original cream one is included).
-Dunlop straplocks.
-Brand new Sheptone pickups; Red Headed Stepchild in the bridge position & AB custom in the neck. 4 conductor wiring.
The pickups in particular are what makes this guitar special. They are PAF flavored with authentic 42 guage wiring, scatter wound and degaussed Alnico V magnets. I had them custom wound for the PRS voicing and the new Red-Headed Stepchild bridge in particular is inspiring with its' overwound coils that give authority to the PRS voicing in the midrange, cuts the mix very well with the right setup. They are friendly, warm, clear, detailed and never get muddy, dull, painful or irritating. These are about the best pickups you can get for your money right now without buying the actual vintage pickups themselves. They cost $286 new.
About 8.5 condition overall, some very minor dings and scratches, the most noticeable are underneath the strings near the neck pickup and on the back where the buckle wear usually takes place (even though I don't wear a belt while playing - who does???). Since this guitar is satin finish, potential dings and dents show more with the unforgiving finish, but the huge advantage is obvious - less congested sound that its thicker-finish siblings and better sustain too. Pics are provided for each description.
Frets have virtually no wear on them, has the playability and smooth feeling that you'd expect and more for a PRS guitar, very easy to play, bends are delightful, hammer-ons are effortless and fret buzz is almost non-existent/minimal with proper setup and new strings (which it has had). Fully adjustable bridgepeice is the most solid thing I've ever seen in a bridge and it helps to provide the generous sustain that rivals most Les Pauls I've owned and played.
Come to think of it, I am gonna regret selling this. Absolute joy to play and reminds me of why I pick up a guitar in the first place.
All original documents are included plus hardcase, keys, trussrod & bridge tools, Planet Waves guitar strap (very comfortable) and original trussrod cover & speed knobs. Original pickups are not included and are long gone (previously Tremonti treble bridge and PRS #7 Bass neck).
(Backplate and trussrod cover are not installed in the pictures, but will be installed upon purchase).
Enjoy!
