You are looking at/bidding on a 1999 PRS CE-22 in Amber burst. The guitar is in great condition, plays like a dream, and just screams!!!
The guitar sounds amazing and is great condition. It has the cool, older style black head and shark-fin locking tuners. Oh, and it has the rare black key PRS tuning keys. Everything's original except the strap buttons. These have been replaced with Dunlop locking buttons. I will include a strap with the male ends of the strap locks, so you'll be ready to go! The guitar has minor fret-wear. Noting major, but what you'd expect from a 12yr old guitar. I'd rate the frets at a 8/10. Also, since this guitar has the PRS binding, it is a Maple Top on Mahogany Body. This is purely based on how they built CE guitars. I cannot swear to that, though. It is the Wide-Fat neck carve.
The sound is amazing - the 5-way switch allows you to go from full on humbucker to very nice and round single-coil tones. This guitar has the Dragon II pickups. They are searing in the Humbucker position, but go to a really nice mellow single coil tone with the 5 way rotary switch.
The guitar is 12 years old and has been played. It has a small ding near the volume knob. Not as bad as it looks in the pic. Also, the original owner kept it in a stand for too long and there is a small area on the back of the neck where the clear coat is gone. Some minor pick swirls and a few small dings on the back. This is all minor cosmetic stuff, but I always do my best to describe my stuff the best that I can so that there are no surprises.
The original PRS Hard Shell Case (in fair to good condition - fully functional, but with wear ) is included.
I have auctioned a lot of guitars on ebay, and this one is by far the hottest guitar I've ever sold. I love it, and am only selling it because I have too many and honestly don't play this one too much.
