I am offering up for auction this 2008 Paul Reed Smith SE Singlecut guitar. I've owned this guitar for around 1.5 years, but I have not played it much due to time constraints. I figure it's better off with someone who will use it.
As seen in the photos, the guitar has a very nice, high-gloss, black finish with cream binding. The hardware is nickel and the pickups are black with cream bezels. The back wood and neck are mahogany, the top is maple. and the fingerboard is rosewood. All of this combines to make a very warm-sounding, resonant instrument. The bridge humbucker pickup is a PRS-designed pickup with grear rock 'n roll tone, while the contrasting neck humbucker pickup, also PRS-designed, produces very smooth, round, singing tones perfect for jazz or blues. Controls include a volume knob, tone knob and three-position toggle for pickup selection.
The action on this guitar is very nice, and easily adjustable to the player's taste. Playability is also very nice, with a wide-fat neck profile and effortless string bending. The guitar is currently setup for regular gauge strings (10's).
Please note that the guitar is pictured above with Dunlop strap locks. However, these will be replaced with the guitar's original strap buttons prior to shipping.
The guitar includes a high-quality, padded PRS SE gig bag, gray in color.
