2007 PRS Singlecut Trem 10 Top with Indian Rosewood Neck and EVH Wolfgang Pickups
Weight 8lbs 9ozs
For auction: 2007 Paul Reed Smith PRS Singlecut Trem with Indian rosewood neck. The finish is McCarty Tobacco Burst. This guitar is part of a limited run produced by PRS in 2007. It features an Indian rosewood neck. PRS has gained notoriety over the years for their production of guitars with solid rosewood necks. Many players enjoy the rich sonic details of a solid rosewood neck while other marvel in the smooth playability of an unfinished rosewood neck. Those who play rosewood necks get addicted to them rather quickly, hence they have gotten the nickname of “crackwood.”
The original PRS #6 pickups have been swapped out for EVH Wolfgang pickups along with all new 3 way pickup switch; volume pot; tone pot; and lampshade knobs. With the exception of the pickups all of these parts are OEM PRS parts purchased from PRS directly. All work on the guitar was performed in January by Steve Soest of Soest Guitar in Orange along with a setup. Included in the sale are the original #6 pickups; the original pots (which includes the push-pull coil tap); the original speed knobs; and the original 3-way switch. The wire harnesses are intact so swapping them out will be a breeze.
The top is a 10 top quilt. You will also notice that the guitar has dots, which is rare for this limited run. I believe the dots add to this guitar’s stripped down and hot-rod look. The guitar is in excellent condition with very little play wear. The top has two small indents in the finish which I have photographed and posted.
This guitar does hard rock very well—it screams. Harmonics, natural or pinched, just jump off the fretboard with very little effort. The trem is very stable and the guitar rarely goes out of tune no matter how much you pull or yank on it. This guitar is a rocker. Good luck!
