Up for auction is a 2006 PRS Hollowbody II Artist finished in the now discontinued "Tortise Shell". This guitar sounds as beautiful as it looks, the pics do not do it justice, I am going to try to add a few more outdoor pics. This HB II has the piezo system so it is super versatile tone variety, and is super light weight and comfortable to play. It is set up with D' Addario 11's (comes from PRS with these also) and plays like butter, with extremely fast action. Like all of the Hollowbody II guitars it has the PRS wide/fat neck carve (not too skinny-not too fat) and is extremely comfortable to play. It also has the gold PRS Archtop pickups.
I purchased this guitar in January of 2010 as a 2006 NOS from Guitar Assylum, it was brand new then, and is very close to the same condition now. This guitar has only been played by me a few times in my music room at home. It comes with all of the PRS case candy, hang tag, registration and warranty card that has not yet been filled out. and the original HSC, that has one small scuff on the top from getting against the painted wall in my music room, you should be able to see it in the pic of the case.
This beautiful instrument list at almost $8,000.00 and was sold retail at right at $4,800.00, and right now is not available in this exact configuration. I recently had the opportunity to play the 25th Anniversay HB II , and in my humble opinion it is not the guitar that this one is, even with the new 57/08 pickups that I really love in another PRS I have. Thier reason for adding the center block, they say is for "Feed Back Control" honestly this guitar has no problem with feedback, and to me me sounds more open than the new one. There is something funky to me about the neck binding on the new one as well. Oh well, just one players opinion.
I will accept payment by PayPal or bankwire transfer, and will ship via UPS ground insured for the selling price of the guitar for a flat $75.00 when the funds have cleared. I will not accept any bids from buyers outside of the USA (it would be a waste of time to ask) and if you have less than 10 feedbacks please contact me before bidding. I reserve the right to end this auction early if the guitar sells locally.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and THANKS FOR LOOKING!
